Now booking: group events

For when several people want to come at the same time.

Until now, Is Open At was built around one person booking one slot at a time. That fits tennis courts, meeting rooms, and salon appointments, but it doesn't fit a yoga class with twelve students, a language course that meets every Tuesday, or a one-off weekend workshop. Group events are the missing piece.

Define the event once

In the admin panel, the new Events section lets you create an event with a name, duration, price, and capacity. Then you decide when it happens: a single date and time, or a recurring schedule that repeats weekly, biweekly, or monthly on the days you pick. You can let it run forever, end on a specific date, or cap it at a set number of occurrences.

Set the schedule once and the system generates the occurrences for you. No need to copy-paste a Tuesday 7pm class fifty-two times. One rule covers the whole year.

Customers see a clear schedule

On your public booking page, events get their own tab next to regular bookings. Visitors see an upcoming schedule with the event name, date, time, price, and how many spots are left. One glance tells them what's happening this week and what still has room.

Just as simple as a regular booking

Registration runs through the same flow as your regular bookings. The customer picks the event, chooses how many seats they need, and pays. Same cart, same checkout, same confirmation email and invoice. If you already run a booking page on Is Open At, this will feel familiar from day one, for you and your customers alike.

Once an event fills up, it's marked as full and registration is closed automatically. No manually juggling a waitlist or cutting off sign-ups by hand.

Works alongside what you already have

Events are a separate booking type, so if you already run a tennis club or a salon on Is Open At, nothing changes. Add events if you want them, and your customers will see both tabs on the booking page. If all you run is events, the schedule becomes the main view.

Who benefits

  • A yoga studio sets up a Monday and Wednesday 7pm class with twelve spots each, and students register for the next session with two taps.
  • A language school publishes its weekly beginner course schedule for the whole term. One recurring event covers every session.
  • A cooking studio lists a one-off weekend pasta workshop with ten seats, and closes registration automatically once it sells out.
  • A tour operator runs a guided hike every other Saturday with a fifteen-person cap, and lets customers book spots for their whole group at once.
