Reduce No-Shows with SMS & Email Reminders

Automatic email and SMS reminders help your customers remember their bookings — so your schedule stays full.

No-shows are one of the most frustrating parts of running a booking-based business. A customer forgets their appointment, the slot goes empty, and there's no time to fill it. With automatic reminders, that problem largely goes away.

Email reminders

Every booking policy now has a configurable reminder setting. Choose how many hours before the booking to send a reminder — whether that's 2 hours, 24 hours, or anything in between. The email includes the booking details, the resource name, and the cancellation deadline so customers can adjust if their plans have changed.

Reminders are sent automatically — there's nothing to do after the initial setup. Just set the timing once in your booking policy, and every future booking under that policy will get a reminder.

Collect phone numbers at checkout

A new per-policy setting lets you control whether customers are asked for their phone number during checkout. You can set it to disabled, optional, or required — depending on your needs.

This is useful if you need to reach customers directly, and it's also a prerequisite for SMS reminders.

SMS reminders (early access)

For businesses where email isn't enough, we're rolling out automatic SMS reminders. When enabled, customers with a phone number on file receive a text message one hour before their booking starts.

SMS reminders are currently available through our early access program. If you're interested, reach out and we'll get you set up.

Who benefits

Any business where missed appointments mean lost revenue. Salons, tennis clubs, yoga studios, coworking spaces — if you take bookings, reminders help you keep your schedule full.

  • A tennis club sends a reminder the morning of each booking so players don't forget their court time.
  • A nail technician requires phone numbers at checkout to stay in touch with clients and reduce last-minute cancellations.
  • A yoga studio configures a 24-hour email reminder, giving students enough time to cancel if something comes up — freeing the spot for someone on the waiting list.
